115: Book Review: The Little Prince

I’m deeply pondering on a book I recently read – “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and this book is definitely one of a gem . It teaches us what matters most to matters of consequences.

This is a story of a little prince that lets out of his tiny little planet or asteroid and explores the rest of the world. He meets different people on his journey and he learns their way of life and each person totally makes us understand the wisdom one ought to have as a grown up.

I’m rationally thinking about how the story is written, it totally is philosophical and open for interpretation of the reader. I’m sharing my favorite quotes from the book.

  • What is essential is invisible to the eye.
  • Orders should be reasonable to be obeyed.
  • It is much more difficult to judge oneself than judging others.
  • You become responsible for what ever you have tamed. You only understand the things you tame.
  • One must endure the presence of of caterpillars if one wishes to become acquainted with the butterflies.
  • No one is ever satisfied where he is.
